Access & Discount Programs

The Mayborn Museum is committed to welcoming visitors of all backgrounds. Through our Mayborn Reach Out initiatives and national partnerships, we work to reduce barriers and expand access to the museum’s exhibitions and learning experiences.

Mayborn Reach Out

Mayborn Reach Out programs are designed to connect the museum with new and under-served audiences. These initiatives provide meaningful opportunities for families and individuals of all means to engage with the museum’s resources, exhibitions, and educational experiences.

Community Days

Community Days are special admission-free days at the Mayborn Museum. Visitors are invited to explore the Discovery Center, natural history exhibits, and the Gov. Bill & Vara Daniel Historic Village at no cost.

Borrow a Membership

The Mayborn Museum partners with the Waco–McLennan County and Hewitt Public Libraries to offer a Borrow a Membership program. Library patrons may check out a museum membership at no cost for free admission to the museum.

Availability is limited. Please visit your nearest participating library branch for details.

Museums for All

The Mayborn Museum is proud to be a Museums for All partner, a national access program led by the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

Museums for All provides reduced admission for families receiving public assistance with the presentation of a valid Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.

Museums for All Admission:

$1 per person for up to two adults and all children in the household
Discounted family membership: $15 for EBT cardholders

Please note: Museums for All memberships are not eligible for birthday party discounts or guest passes.

ASTC Travel Passport Program

The Mayborn Museum participates in the ASTC Travel Passport Program. Mayborn Museum members receive reciprocal admission benefits at participating science centers and museums across the country.
