Volunteer Opportunities Through Lifelong Learning
As a volunteer-led organization, Lifelong Learning relies on dedicated and passionate people. Get involved in one of the many exciting committees! These options include Curriculum, Special Events, Course Hosts, Publications, Publicity/Membership, and History. These groups are waiting to welcome you!

LLL Volunteer Committee Descriptions
Curriculum Committee:
Members on this committee work together to create the LLL program’s course offerings for each semester. Volunteering on this committee includes proposing new ideas for courses, acting as ambassadors for potential Course Instructors, and helping the committee develop a balanced, quality curriculum.
Special Events Committee:
Members on this committee plan five special events for each academic semester; consisting of Coffee Talks, a Bus Trip, and an end-of-the-semester Luncheon. Participants choose special guest speakers, help put on events, scout out locations for the bus trip, and much more!
Publications Committee:
This committee works with the Communications Team at the Mayborn to write and send out 3 annual newsletters for all participants in the Lifelong Learning Community. Newsletters highlight the programs and people in the LLL Community as well as provide information on upcoming events, the announcement of new program officers, and much more!
Publicity Committee:
This small but mighty committee spreads the word about the Lifelong Learning program by working with various media sources and acting as ambassadors for the program by using word-of-mouth advertising. They submit information to news outlets, community calendars, distribute brochures, and represent the LLL program at outreach events.
History Committee:
The History Committee manages the history of Lifelong Learning itself. They work to compile and submit the program’s documents to the archives of the Texas Collection at Baylor University which cares for the more than 25 years of historical documents so far!
