Mini Mammoth Masquerade and Parade Brought to you by the Knas Family

Join us in celebrating 20 years of Mayborn Museum at our Mini Mammoth Masquerade and parade on May 18th from 1-3 PM! Presented by Berkley and Kyle Knas, our 20th Anniversary Mini Mammoth Masquerade and Parade promises an afternoon of laughter and fun for the whole family.

A New Moon Rises

Immerse yourself in the large-scale and highly detailed photographs of the moon at the Mayborn Museum when “A New Moon Rises” opens on December 9, 2023. Visitors can explore the dramatic landscapes captured by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) from Apollo landing sites to majestic mountains that rise out of the darkness of the lunar poles. The images provide unique views of the lunar surface that not only help answer questions about the moon’s formation and evolution but reveal stunning landforms both alien and familiar.

Journey to Space

Climb aboard and experience what it is like to live and work in space at the Mayborn Museum when Journey to Space opens on January 27, 2024. Visitors will explore the extraordinary environment of space, including the very real dangers that astronauts face during their missions above Earth and the adaptations that engineers have developed to help them survive while in space. They’ll learn about the science of getting to space, explore the sights and sounds of being on board a space station and climb aboard a full-scale model of Destiny Lab, the primary research facility on the International Space Station.
