This coming school year, Central Texas will get to experience TWO SOLAR ECLIPSES! We will see 89% coverage in October 2023. Next we will experience a rare Total Solar Eclipse with 100% coverage in April 2024. You don't want your students to miss this!
Help the Mayborn Museum bring the eclipse experience to 10,000 Central Texas students! Mayborn Eclipse 10,000 is a free teacher training complete with resources and supplies delivered to your school.
Program Details
:
- Includes background information, techniques, and tips for teachers to host and facilitate day-of-eclipse programming.
- Training is a 1-hour presentation from Alan Small, STEM Programs Coordinator at the Mayborn Museum.
- The training will be held on site at your school during a staff meeting or professional development day.
Resource Kits
Each school will receive resources to prepare and facilitate on both eclipse days. This resource kit for your school contains:
- Solar eclipse viewing glasses for each student at your campus.
- Eclipse activity guides and extra facilitation guides.
- Passes to the Mayborn for each of your students to view our exhibits
