Mayborn Museum Sponsors the 2026 Central Texas Science & Engineering Fair

CTSF

The Mayborn Museum is proud to sponsor the 2026 Central Texas Science & Engineering Fair (CTSEF) as the fair celebrates its 70th anniversary of advancing student innovation, curiosity, and excellence in science and engineering.

Taking place February 10–11, 2026, CTSEF brings together outstanding student researchers from across a 13-county Central Texas region. The fair’s mission is to inspire students to explore the world around them through hands-on, original research, while building critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills that support future academic and career success. Student projects are evaluated by scientists, engineers, and educators, and top winners advance to the Texas Science & Engineering Fair (TXSEF), with opportunities to continue on to the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF).

“Supporting CTSEF aligns directly with the Mayborn Museum’s commitment to hands-on learning and sparking curiosity in young minds,” said Charlie Walter, Director of the Mayborn Museum. “These students are asking meaningful questions, testing ideas, and discovering what’s possible through science—and we are proud to help provide a platform for that exploration.”
